Milda Salciute brings over 12 years of invaluable sustainability expertise to the meetings and events industry. As the Director of Events and Academy at the Global Destination Sustainability Movement (GDS-Movement), Milda plays a dual role, overseeing both event consulting and the development of the GDS-Academy – a pioneering, future-oriented learning platform tailored for destination leaders and event professionals. Her commitment to fostering sustainability within the industry is noticeable as she adeptly manages the social, economic, and environmental impacts of events in various formats. In her role at GDS-Movement, Milda collaborates closely with event clients, guiding associations and companies in shaping the vision, actions, measurement, and evolution of their regenerative event strategies, impacts, and communications.  

Prior to her tenure at GDS-Movement, Milda served as a Strategic Project Manager at TNW, a Financial Times company, where she navigated the dynamic landscape of the tech startup ecosystem. 

Milda also managed education and sustainability initiatives at the IMEX Group, overseeing two flagship exhibitions, IMEX America and IMEX Frankfurt. Originally from Lithuania, Milda, an expat at heart, has explored the globe extensively, residing in Norway, Denmark, and the United Kingdom, before settling in Amsterdam.  

Outside of her professional endeavours, Milda finds joy in immersing herself in nature and relishing outdoor adventures.
