Monaco is set to take part in the Global Destination Sustainability-Index as the representative destination from The Principality of Monaco. Recognized not only for its scenic beauty and luxury, but also as a country engaged in environmental and sustainability issues at the global level, Monaco is extending its efforts even further in the tourism and business events industry by joining the GDS-Index.
Highlighting why Monaco has chosen to be included on the GDS Index, Sandrine Camia, Directo of Monaco Convention Bureau said:
“The Principality of Monaco is a country mobilised by its Sovereign, H.S.H. Prince Albert II to tackle the universal issue of the environment. Monaco is official partner of many international conventions such as Kyoto Protocol, Paris agreement and UN Sustainable Development Goals. In line with their commitment to advancing the sustainability agenda, the GDS-Index team and the Monaco Convention Bureau are delighted to announce that the Principality is now participating to GDS-Index. By joining the GDS Index, Monaco is aiming to raise awareness and provide high standard sustainability practices through its CVB activities.”
With this, we welcome Monaco on board and look forward to its results and progress.
