Indicates the performance of the city against indicators of SDG integration, Corruption, Personal Safety, Access to Information and Communications, Health and Wellness, and Inclusivity, using external sources such as the Social Progress Imperative Index, and Corruption Perceptions Index.

Vejle have a strong focus and high ambitions when is comes to climate and sustainability programs. The municipality have ambitious goals for CO2 reductions, increased biodiversity and with the project 'Green Destination Vejle' VisitVejle engages and supports the tourism industry in their change for a greener and more sustainable future. With the project VisitVejle are organising workshops, seminars, 1-1 feedback sessions, creating guides/handbooks for businesses and tourists. We furthermore have an increased focus on sustainability in our communications and marketing, as well as who we collaborate with. and as the vision of Vejle municiality states: "we shape the future with courage"

Vejle is highly ambitious when it comes to climate, and have a climate plan targeting a 70 % Co2 reduction in 2030 compared to 1990 levels. It is the goal to involve as many stakeholders as possible in order to create the change needed, with the municipality leading the way. Overall Vejle have been very successfull in engaging stakeholders and are commited to let the residents be part of the solutions. and as the vision of Vejle municiality states: "we give more than we take"

A lot is happening in the context of sustainable events and meetings in Vejle. An event strategy is in the making, and the partnership between VisitVejle and 11 private partners within meeting and business tourism have created a team to spearhead the sustainability efforts within the partnership. More than ever before are sustainability and increasingly also regeneration at the forefront of what we do.
