Originally from Germany, Anja has lived in the United Kingdom and currently resides in Spain. Anja developed and executed various digital marketing and communication strategies for clients such as ForwardKeys, Energy & Environment Alliance, and the INSEAD Alumni Association UK. She has also worked on ESG leadership for the hospitality sector, secured media partnerships, and created social media and content marketing strategies.

Anja’s commitment to sustainability shines through due to her previous role as the Co-Chair at the Global Sustainable Tourism Council’s Communications Committee and her tenure as the Tourism for Tomorrow Awards Manager at the World Travel & Tourism Council, where she demonstrated her proficiency in sustainable awards criteria, project management, and event planning.

Anja is very sociable and always hungry for new knowledge. Beyond her professional endeavours, Anja is an enthusiastic traveller who has explored Europe, Asia, and South America, fuelling her passion for diverse cultures. In her leisure time, she enjoys practising yoga or taking long walks amidst the picturesque Catalan countryside.

Anja holds an MSc in Environmental Strategy and Sustainable Development at the University of Surrey in the UK, and has received a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Relations from CIPR London.

She is the Global Destination Sustainability Movement’s Digital Marketing Manager.
