Challenge: ​

To deliver a high-impact, globally visible event in a destination that is actively progressing on its sustainability journey, while embedding a credible strategy for sustainability and legacy across all facets of the Congress. The goal was to raise ambition, engage stakeholders, and showcase Abu Dhabi’s growing leadership in sustainable and inclusive global events.​​

Delivered in partnership with M4i, our work included:​

• Co-developing the ICCA Congress Sustainability & Impact Strategy grounded in five pillars: Sustainability, Social Legacy, Education, Innovation, Leadership​
• Supporting implementation across operations, programming, and supply chain​
• Using TRACE and other tools to measure carbon, waste, and social impact​
• Facilitating internal and external communications on sustainability actions andresults​
• Delivering on-site support, stakeholder feedback sessions, and CSR activations​

Key Results: ​

• 100% of carbon emissions offset, achieving full event carbonneutrality​
• 54% waste diversion, with zero food waste to landfill at ADNECand 1,651 kg composted​
• 83% of youth participants see business events as a career path​
• 100% of industry professionals committed to ongoing mentorship​
• Sustainability messaging embedded across all attendeecommunications​
• Social enterprise collaboration with ne’ma for food redistributionand composting​
• Use of AI-based tools like Snapsight for real-time insight captureand learning​
