Challenge
Singapore wanted to accelerate its sustainable tourism and MICE programme and become leaders in Asia.
The Solution
The GDS-Movement supported Singapore Tourism Board to develop and implement a sustainability strategy. Deliverables include:
- Benchmarking the city, supply chain and DMO with the GDS-Index
- Consulting and support to define certification strategy
- Coaching to improve strategy, goals, tactical action plan and indicators
- Engagement and training of industry leaders
- Development of storytelling training and delivery of 2 cohorts
Results
The process created new partnerships, built capacity and unleashed a new vision and plan for a better form of tourism for Singapore.
- Improved performance from number 35 to 17 in the GDS-Index in 1 year
- Achieved GSTC Certification
- Recognized by Tripadvisor as one of the 10 “Best of the Best Sustainable Destinations”
